School Bullying
STOP BULLYING IN SCHOOLS
Focus: Bullying
Create a school event where students can give the school input about bullying in schools.
PROBLEM:
One out of every 5 students are bullied. Bullying can hurt kids emotionally, physically, and in their schoolwork. Rather than feeling unsafe and worried that they will be bullied every time they step onto campus, schools should be a positive environment where all students feel safe.
SOLUTION:
You can host a school event to gain input from students on bullying. Together, students can create a list of how the school staff can improve on the prevention of bullying.
STEPS
1. Ask! Ask your school for permission if you are able to hold an event on bullying in
school.
a. If they refuse for you to hold the event in school, you can hold the event virtually
(you can use zoom)!
2. Plan! Decide how your event will play out. Here are a few things to consider:
a. Review your current school anti-bullying policy and its effectiveness.
b. Discuss any bullying problems you may have witnessed or heard about in
school.
c. Create a new and improved anti-bullying policy together.
3. Publicize!
a. Make flyers or post on social media about this event to encourage many students to attend!
3. Hold the event! After all the preparations, your event can finally take place!
4. Always feel free to ask for help, suggestions, or twist these campaigns yourselves by
talking to an officer from DoE on discord!
5. Fill out the Volunteer Form! Get volunteer hours based on the pictures submitted.
