Spread awareness about the importance of health!

Why should we be educated on human diseases? Awareness of diseases and symptoms is essential for screening and early detection. If members of the public are aware of common diseases and its symptoms, they are more likely to take action to prevent it happening to them, or go to healthcare providers for check-ups. On the other hand, if people are not aware of diseases and healthcare options it keeps them from taking preventative action or from visiting their doctor and accessing care. Lack of awareness is not only dangerous in terms of worsening health outcomes, it can also be divisive in society and can affect quality of life. So let’s take action by spreading awareness on diseases and promoting great health to all.

STEPS

1. Organize! Get together with your group and make a list of things you will need to do in order to carry out this campaign successfully! You can split the parts and assign each person a specific role.

2. Create! Make a website that educates the importance of human health.

You can use google sites, weebly, or any other programs that would work!
Include a home page where you state your mission and your goals.
Have separate pages for different diseases and the importance of educating people on these health issues.
1. Examples: signs of cancer, strokes, etc.
Try to include links from credible medical sources.
Make sure that the website is colorful and eye catching!
1. Try adding many pictures and fun designs! Be creative as you’d like!
