Appreciate the hardworking healthcare heroes!

The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged and, in many cases, exceeded the capacity of hospitals and intensive care units (ICUs) worldwide. Health-care workers have continued to provide care for patients despite exhaustion, personal risk of infection, fear of transmission to family members, illness or death of friends and colleagues, and the loss of many patients. Hospital-based health professionals worked long hours wearing cumbersome and uncomfortable personal protective equipment (PPE), after initial shortages of PPE had been addressed. Seeing all the things they’ve done for us, we should be appreciative of all their sacrifices and hard work in order to keep our community safe. One way to express your gratitude and appreciation to these heroes is through this Let’s Dream campaign!

STEPS

1. Organize!

1. How do you plan on showing gratitude to healthcare workers?

   1. Creating handmade thank you cards! (make them as colorful and decorative as you can!)

2. How will you deliver them?

   1. Contact a local hospital(s) and drop them off.

2. Reach out! Contact a local hospital(s) and tell them your initiative. Ask them if you could drop off the cards and have them deliver them among the healthcare workers.

3. Create! Make as many handmade cards as you can. You can even make small crafts to go along with them (like bracelets, etc.)

4. Fill out the Volunteer Form! Get volunteer hours based on the pictures submitted.
