Mental health is important too!
Mental health is often disregarded in society. Mental health disorders account for several of the top causes of disability in established market economies. An estimated 26% of Americans ages 18 and older -- about 1 in 4 adults -- suffer from a diagnosable mental disorder in a given year. Mental health conditions account for 16% of the global burden of disease and injury in people aged 10-19 years. Most people who commit suicide have a diagnosable mental disorder. In adolescents themselves, suicide is the third leading cause of death. Obviously these statistics can’t be disregarded. Let’s make a change in our communities and promote positivity.
