Letters of Empowerment

EMPOWER THE FUTURE GENERATION OF STRONG WOMEN!

Do you desire to make an impact on the future generation of strong females? Use this campaign to write encouraging letters to young females in underprivileged communities. Just showing a little bit of love and support on another's endeavors can make a huge impact on their life! Oftentimes in adolescence females face serious sexism or discouragement from peers or adults on account of their gender which can lead them to lack confidence in themselves. Especially in tough financial situations, this lack of confidence can increase and lead to a decrease in motivation. It’s time to show other females their power and capability in achieving their endeavors!

STEPS

1. Plan! Find your target school, church group, etc. in an underprivileged community and send them an email letting them know of your initiative! You may CC Let’s Dreams email should they inquire for more information.

2. Write! At your next meeting, write your letters! Let your members know of the purpose of this project so they may cater their writing to these young girls! Be sure to be very positive and encouraging, letting them know they are capable of their future endeavors and are loved! Remember to review member’s letters to confirm they are appropriate for this project as well!

3. Collect! Collect your letters and place them in envelopes to mail or deliver to your desired location. You may also have your members decorate these as well, writing their names or the clubs name to make it more personal.

4. Deliver! Deliver your letters, and see if other members are allowed to attend in delivering such letters. If so, you may bring other treats as well and read books to the children, providing them a fun experience simultaneously!

5. Fill out the Volunteer Form! Get volunteer hours based on the pictures submitted. Members can receive 30 minutes per letter, and 2 hours maximum.
